D900 FAQ – How do I reset my SGH-D900 phone?

To reset the handset to the factory default settings follow the steps below:

  1. While in standby mode, press the left soft key for Menu
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select Reset Settings (9)
  4. Press the OK button to check the box(es) for any of the following:
    • All: Phone, Display, Sound & Light settings will be returned to default values
    • Phone settings: only phone settings will be returned to default values
    • Display settings: only display settings will be returned to default values
    • Sound settings: only sound settings will be returned to default values
    • Light Settings: only backlight & keypad settings will be returned to default values
  5. Press the left soft key for Reset
  6. Press the left soft key for Yes to reset the phone
  7. Enter the password, using the keypad, default password is “00000000″
  8. Press the left soft key for OK to reset the phone

The Samsung SGH-D500 won the prestigious award “the worlds best cellphone” at the 3GSM world congress in Cannes, 2005. Samsung has experienced remarkable success with the introduction of the SGH-D500 and has therefore introduced several other slider-style mobile phones in recent years, some fairly successful, others not so much. It has been succeeded by the Samsung SGH-D600.
