D900 FAQ – How do I disable or mute the keypad tone on my SGH-D900?

Note: In order to disable the keypad tone, the Dialing Display Font Type must first be set to “Normal”

To change the dialing display font type follow the steps below:

  1. From the standby screen, press the left soft key for Menu
  2. Select Settings (9)
  3. Select Display Settings (3)
  4. Select Dialing Display (6)
  5. Select Font Type (1)
  6. Highlight either Normal or Theme, using the navigation keys
  7. Press the left soft key to Save the Dialing Display Font Type setting

To turn off the keypad tone follow the steps below:

  1. From the standby screen, press the left soft key for Menu
  2. Select Settings (9)
  3. Select Sound Settings (4)
  4. Select Keypad Tone (2)
  5. Highlight Off, using the up navigation key
  6. Press the left soft key to Save the Keypad Tone setting

D900 FAQ – What are USB settings and how do I use them on my SGH-D900?

The USB Settings menu determines which USB mode is to be used when you connect, via a USB cable, your phone to a PC or printer. Note: To determine if your printer is PictBridge compatible, please check your printer’s documentation or contact the Manufacture for more details.

To access or change the USB settings follow the steps below:

  1. While in standby mode, press the left soft key for Menu
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select Phone Settings (2)
  4. Select USB Settings (8)
  5. Highlight desired USB setting from the following:
    • Modem: select to use your phone as the modem for a PC
    • Mass storage: select to access the phone’s memory card, via a USB cable, from a PC
    • PictBridge: select to connect your phone to a PictBridge-compatible printer
  6. Press the left soft key for Select to save the USB settings changes

Note: Both incoming and outgoing calls are disabled while the USB cable is attached to the handset

D900 FAQ – How do i check the Firmware and Software versions on my SGH-D900?

To check the Hardware version follow the steps below:

  • To display Hardware version dial *#2222# in standby mode

For example, if the phone is loaded with Hardware version 0.5 the Hardware version will be displayed as “HW Version Rev 0.5″

To check the Software version follow the steps below:

  • To display Software version dial *#1111# in standby mode

For example, if the phone is loaded with Software version .05 the Software version will be displayed as “SW Version D900E.05″

Yes. To configure the Email account settings follow the steps below:

  1. While in standby mode, press the left soft key for Menu
  2. Select Messages
  3. Select Settings (5)
  4. Select Emails (3)
  5. Select Email Accounts (3)
  6. Select Account Settings (2)
  7. Press the left soft key for Create
  8. Enter all account setting information, using the keypad & navigation keys

D900 FAQ – How do I reset my SGH-D900 phone?

To reset the handset to the factory default settings follow the steps below:

  1. While in standby mode, press the left soft key for Menu
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select Reset Settings (9)
  4. Press the OK button to check the box(es) for any of the following:
    • All: Phone, Display, Sound & Light settings will be returned to default values
    • Phone settings: only phone settings will be returned to default values
    • Display settings: only display settings will be returned to default values
    • Sound settings: only sound settings will be returned to default values
    • Light Settings: only backlight & keypad settings will be returned to default values
  5. Press the left soft key for Reset
  6. Press the left soft key for Yes to reset the phone
  7. Enter the password, using the keypad, default password is “00000000″
  8. Press the left soft key for OK to reset the phone
